The Society for the Study of Egyptian Antiquities (SSEA) hosts its 35th Annual Symposium at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) next weekend.The focus of the symposium will be ancient Egypt and the Bible and will host a panel of internationally renowned scholars who will discuss ancient Egypt’s connection to Judaism, Christianity and Islam.The symposium will take place at the University of Toronto’s Earth Sciences Centre, located at 5 Bancroft Place on Saturday, Nov. 7 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Room 1050.The Saturday event will be book-ended by free talks at the ROM both Friday and Sunday.The talks will examine numerous aspects of ancient Egypt, including daily life, culture, religion and archaeology.Visit www.rom.on.ca/programs/lectures/index for details on the symposium and the cost to attend.
